Sometimes I miss creating things for absolutely no reason.

No strategy.
No collection.
No wondering if anyone would buy it.

Just an idea in my head and that little feeling of I need to make this. ✨
This jacket was one of those pieces.

And looking back at some of the things I’ve made over the years reminds me that creativity doesn’t always need to lead somewhere.

Sometimes you paint the jacket.
You try the weird idea.
You make something completely different from what you normally make.

Just because creating it makes you feel like you.
I think I need a little more of that again. 🤍

When was the last time you made something just because you wanted to?

There’s still something about looking at a bunch of finished pieces and thinking…

I made all of that. 🥹

Not a factory.
Not a machine.
Just my hands, some cord, a lot of little knots and probably way too many hours. 😂

And I really hope that feeling never becomes normal.

Because even after making the same little things over and over, there’s still a tiny moment of pride when I see them all together, ready for a market, waiting for someone to choose one.

Maybe that’s one of the best parts of making things by hand.
Watching something that started as an idea slowly become something real.
And getting to say…

Yep. I made that. 🤍

Not everything you create needs to become a product.

Not every hobby needs to become a business.
Not every idea needs to be shared.
Not every painting needs to be finished.
Not every creative moment needs to be useful.

Sometimes you can make something simply because you felt like making it.

No plan.
No pressure.
No need for it to become anything more.

I think somewhere along the way we became a little too obsessed with turning everything we love into something productive.

But creativity doesn’t owe us anything.
Sometimes, the making is enough. 🤍

What’s something you do purely because you enjoy it?

Some pieces just make a space feel a little happier. 🤍

I made this one with a children’s room in mind, soft, playful, colourful and full of those tiny handmade details that make a space feel personal.

And seeing it like this makes me love it even more. 🥹

Because handmade isn’t just about what you create… it’s about the little corner of someone’s home it eventually becomes part of.

Made slowly.
Made with my hands.
Made to bring a little colour to everyday life. 🌈

Would you put this in a little one’s room? 🤎

Proof that little things really can make you stupidly happy. 🍄🤍
There’s something about these little mushrooms that makes me smile every single time I make them.

The colours.
The tiny knots.
Choosing each combination.
And then seeing their little personalities come together.

They’re small, but that’s kind of the point.
Not everything that brings us joy has to be big or important.
Sometimes it’s just a tiny handmade mushroom hanging from your keys, making an ordinary day a little more colourful. 😂🍄

And judging by how many of these little guys have found new homes… I don’t think I’m the only one who feels that way.

Which colour would you choose? 👀

There’s something I love about making things that don’t need to match. 🤍

Different colours, different stones, different little details… each pair has its own personality.

And I think that’s one of my favourite parts of handmade pieces, they’re not supposed to look like they came from a factory.

They’re made slowly, chosen piece by piece, and somehow every tiny decision makes them feel a little more special.

Made by hand. Made to be different. ✨

Which pair would you choose?

Please tell me I’m not the only one who finds this ridiculously satisfying. 😂
There are certain things only creative people seem to understand.

Fresh paint mixing perfectly.
Peeling tape off a clean edge.
Cutting something exactly where you meant to.
And apparently…

Brushing macramé cord until it becomes ridiculously soft and fluffy. 😂

No idea why it feels this good.
No idea why I could watch it for way too long.
But add a little Nat King Cole in the background and suddenly this is basically self-care. 🤌😂
Creative people really do have very specific ideas of fun.

What’s your weirdly satisfying creative thing?

Some things deserve a second life. 🤍

These started as simple glass jars… and with a little cord, a few knots and a lot of patience, they became something completely different.
I think that’s one of my favourite things about creating.

Seeing possibility in ordinary things.
Turning something forgotten into something worth keeping.
Making something beautiful without needing everything to be new.
And somehow, the imperfections are always my favourite part.

Handmade doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just has to feel like you made it yours. ✨

Would you have kept the jar? 🤎

Sometimes making space for yourself doesn’t mean changing your whole life.

It can be ten quiet minutes.
Picking up a paintbrush.
Making something with your hands.
Going outside.
Doing something simply because it feels good.

We’re so used to filling every little space with things we should be doing that the things that make us feel like ourselves slowly get pushed to the bottom of the list.

So maybe you don’t need more time.
Maybe you just need to protect a little of the time you already have. 🤍
Make space for what feels like you.
Even if it’s only a little.

What’s one thing you wish you made more time for?

I can never make just one version of anything. 😂
It always starts with one idea.
And then my brain goes…

Okay, but what if I change the colours?
What if I add a tassel?
What if I burn a different design?
Wait… what if I try THIS?

And suddenly there are three completely different little creations sitting in front of me.
I think that’s one of my favourite parts of making things by hand.
You can start with exactly the same materials and somehow end up with something that has its own little personality.

No two pieces ever need to be exactly the same.
And apparently neither does my brain know when to stop. 😂

Which one would you choose: 1, 2 or 3? 🤍
