We went to The Getty for the art but was blown away by the architecture and all that travertine.

Some fun facts:

THE STONE
• About 16,000 tons of stone were used
• It is Roman Classic travertine, a textured, beige limestone
• The stone was quarried in Bagni di Tivoli, near Rome — the same quarry that provided stone for the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and St Peter’s Basilica.
• Architect Richard Meir split the stone using a custom technique to create a rough-hewn surface, capturing the light.

THE PROJECT
• American Architect Richard Meier was selected in 1984 to be the architect
• The project took about 14 years to complete
• About 1000 workers were on site daily for the stone installation.
• The gardens were designed by Robert Irwin

Our Uber driver said he and his wife often visit The Getty together on a weekend. If I lived in Los Angeles, I would too. It felt such a respite.

An unexpected highlight of the past week visiting Los Angeles was stumbling upon the magic touch in on Abbot Kinney in Venice Beach. I wanted to pack the whole store into my suitcase.

3 things I’m looking forward to this week… (even though I’m having to do this exercise to bolster my spirits while we are still without power, kids are still not at school, we all have cabin fever, and the rain keeps falling Ex-Cyclone Alfred).

1. Having my Weekly Focus Group Meeting with a select group of Design & Grow members. Each week we keep each other accountable, share our wins and work through challenges. Always leave these sessions feeling so energised and excited.

2. Introducing you to the lovely Zena on the Imprint Podcast tomorrow. You are going to love her, and her plans for the business. She is super lovely - allowing me to work at HQ while our power is out.

3. Hosting a Free Live Styling Training later this week. Always get incredible feedback from these sessions. Love sharing what I’ve learned on my journey. There are a few spots left - DM me CONFIDENT to register now.

I’m excited to introduce you to the new owners

Finding the right hands to continue the vision and values of Imprint House was incredibly important to both myself and Daniel, my husband and partner in the business.

It was never just about a store — it’s been a space for thoughtful, beautiful and purposeful living.

We couldn’t have found better stewards than Zena and Alanjohn, who bring a deep appreciation for considered design and a shared commitment to quality and craftsmanship. We have no doubt they will continue to nurture and evolve Imprint House in a way that honours its story and future.

Please join us in welcoming them! We can’t wait to see where they take things next.

Shedding layers of the past can take time. But it’s worthwhile work.

What can seem challenging can become liberating.

Often we experience these subtle shifts in the quiet moments of our lives.

With deepening clarity, we can find the courage to welcome what’s next.

Today on the Imprint Podcast I’m sharing why I’ve sold my business and what the next chapter is going to look like for me.

It is a big decision, that I didn’t take lightly.

There is too much to share in this little square.

In the podcast episode, I take you behind the scenes to what drove this decision, and what’s next.

Thank you for your support over the past nine years. Here’s to something new and exciting…
