It’s been a while between crafting here! Casey and I went to the monthly gathering today, probably my last for a while, but just as I went to hop in the car I ran back inside for my unfinished doll from last year’s Ngamumu program. I couldn’t remember how to make her hair… So between Lia and Johanna, they both reminded me the technique, helped me cut the wool, then plait and weave it all together! Casey needed a nap so we had to bail, so I pinned it to a cushion, because I no longer had Johanna holding it for me! But I managed to finish it while Casey napped beside me. It’s ready to be attached and my (or should I say Casey’s) beautiful doll will be complete 🫶 Stay tuned… I promise it won’t be this long between creative pauses again! 🪡🧵✨

The good folks at NICU Cheer need help filling 250 Father’s Day Bags 🧦🛍️

NICU Cheer bring cheer to parents of premature babies 👶 🏥

NEEDED ASAP:
🧦SOCKS: need 61 more pairs
🍫CHOCS: need 212 more to do 2 per bag
🍿SNACKS: just need 30 more snack chip/popcorn packets

Today’s lesson at : basket weaving. 🧺 Well it was meant to be a basket but mine is more of a plate / wall art / earring holder or anything but a basket! The tradition however, is that the first item you weave has to be gifted. 💝 Hands up who wants it? 🙋‍♀️ Don’t all jump at once… 🤣

Dreaming of a sweet little vintage camper 😍 Inspired by 🏕 Reality: Sitting on the couch waiting for the husband to finish work so we can take the trailer up the hill and camp out in Malanda for show weekend 🎡🎢🎠 Can’t wait to be eating show food, toasting marshmallows & drinking gin by the fire 🔥✨

Rainy day crafts 🧵🪡 I was digging around for some fabric to make a little drawstring bag for the tiny dinosaurs 🦕 I kept standing on in the lounge room 😤 and I discovered a pair of shorts that had been cut who knows how long ago and never sewn... So I asked Cooper if he wanted new race car shorts and he got pretty excited 🏎🛣😝 So I made them while handy hubby was at Bunnings getting more supplies for the camp trailer (which is still a work In progress & all this rain means we can’t go camping anyway) 🏕✌️
