Hand made Art Greeting Cards

Description
These are more than just Greeting Cards.

It’s a common approach to mass produce to create high volumes of items, I think it’s best to go the other direction. Hand made with attention to detail and care for the product, the experience of the person receiving a quality item that has taken time to create is meaningful. Using quality materials that echo the pride I take in my original artworks as an extension of giving the best I can to other people.

My philosophy adopts Japanese concepts:
Monozukuri – : the making of things, pride in craftmanship, attention to detail, quality & making an object properly.
Mottainai – : Not wasting the potential or value of something, making cards to be appreciated and not treated as disposable

My greeting cards feature high quality reproductions of my original paintings designed to be treasured long after they’ve been received.



Each card is personally printed by me using archival pigment inks on premium 220gsm matte cardstock. The envelopes are 120gsm thick printed all over the outside and also inside to enhance the receivers experience of the quality and attention to detail when opening the card. I also cut, fold and package every card and envelope myself here in Australia.



The artwork doesn’t stop at the front cover. Inside is a soft monochrome version of the painting that spans the entire centre spread, while the back features the artwork again with its title, medium, year of creation and my website.



They’re perfect for birthdays, thank you messages, celebrations, sympathy, simply keeping in touch or as a small print artwork in itself that can be framed for a mantle, desk or bookshelf etc.



With more unique designs being added regularly, there’s something for every taste—from peaceful landscapes and fantasy scenes to quirky and imaginative artwork.

Journey to Copper Rock Island

As you stand upon the lush grass hill, looking outward towards the horizon absorbing the vastness of the tropical paradise before your eyes. The warm air encompasses you as you look towards the shore and see a boat ready to take you across the crystal gentle waters, towards the distant island bathed in golden light. A place where only peace and tranquillity exist.

This is one of my latest paintings on canvas prepared so there is virtually no texture, a method that takes 4 to 7 days to give a stunning flat surface.

26min long video of finalising this painting, with a variety of synthwave background music, and even a surprise style thrown in the mix.

This is not the full painting, it is the refining of details, that although look subtle, each micro mark of paint, layered, creates a rich landscape atmospheric environment.

I recorded some video today and edited together at a mix of speeds, normal, and various Time-lapse speeds.

I setup diffuse light tent above easel which has removed glare from painting.
