The Lakes has been one of those projects that lingers — slowly taking shape, gathering layers and collecting little moments across the seasons.

A collaboration between KORU FURNITURE + HOMEWARES and STUDIO K INTERIOR DESIGN , the project unfolded at an intentionally unhurried pace. With our client based overseas, each visit brought another opportunity to curate, refine and add — beginning with furnishings and styling before moving into considered additions of cabinetry, wallpaper, hardware and handles.

We worked with the apartment’s existing palette, embracing its beautiful blush and pink tones and giving them a little refresh rather than reinventing the wheel. The result is a home that feels layered, personal and, importantly, collected rather than simply decorated.

A project that has been an absolute pleasure to work on, with plenty more still to come. For now, we’ll leave you to enjoy The Lakes as much as we do.

Believe it or not, one of our favourite parts of the day is an online orders (of course, besides seeing your beautiful faces!!)

We always turn it into a little guessing game with whoever is in the shop/studio. Whoever spots the order come through gets to be the guess master then we take turns until someone cracks the case. Bronte was pretty quick on the draw today… but sometimes it can take us a solid 10 minutes to figure it out 🙃

Our other fav part? Packing them! There’s something so lovely about putting together a pretty little package knowing there’s nothing quite like opening an order that been packed with a little extra thought (and a lot of love)

P.S We always try to use recycled packaging wherever possible, so sometimes our parcels may look a little rough around the edges. But hey — this planet is pretty important and we think it’s worth the trade off.

The lovely Felicia is currently in Europe and safe to say we’re just a little bit jealous! She’s shared a couple of special piccies with us, that we’d love to share with you.
