Explore your options before you renovate. It really is that simple. 🙈

When you’re investing $$$ into your home, you want to know you’ve explored what’s possible — not simply settled on the first layout.

Explore different layout possibilities.
Take the best ideas from each and refine them into one considered FINAL plan.
THEN design each space in detail and document everything clearly for your trades.

A little more planning upfront can save a lot of costly changes later.

Which option would you choose — 1, 2 or 3?

Sometimes, you need someone to show you what’s actually possible within the space you already have.

A renovation shouldn’t simply mean replacing old cabinetry with new cabinetry and keeping everything in the same place.

Good design looks further than that — at how you move through the space, how you use it every day, what isn’t working now, and whether the existing layout is really making the most of your home.

Sometimes that means moving the kitchen, changing the orientation, opening up the room, creating better storage or finding an option you simply hadn’t considered.

That’s the value of designing before building: seeing the possibilities before committing to one.

Need help working out what your kitchen could be — beyond simply replacing the cabinetry?

A big shoutout to NBV Constructions for bringing all the details from the design and drawings into reality. It’s always exciting to see the vision move from plans and renders to the real thing.

Still a work in progress, but it’s taking shape beautifully. Can’t wait to share the finished result.

Every kitchen I design starts long before the cabinetry is built.

We begin by designing the layout and selecting the materials, then bring everything to life through realistic 3D visualisations — so you can see how the kitchen will look and feel before committing to construction.

From there, we refine the details, make any final changes and prepare the documentation your cabinetmaker or builder can use to accurately price and build the design.

Design it. Visualise it. Refine it. Then build it with confidence.

From dated and disconnected to calm, considered and cohesive.

For this home, the goal was to rethink not just how each space looked, but how the home worked as a whole.

We started by establishing a modern, earthy and natural design direction, then looked carefully at the existing layout and how we could make better use of the available space.

From there, the new floor plan and design came together — creating a more open and functional kitchen, living and dining area, alongside refreshed bathrooms and a softer, more cohesive material palette throughout.

Warm timber, muted greens, soft neutrals and simple, natural finishes bring everything together, while keeping the overall feel relaxed and practical for everyday living.

Swipe through to see the original home, the design direction and the proposed transformation.

This is always one of my favourite parts of the process — taking what already exists, seeing the potential, and giving clients a clear vision of what their home could become.
