Confession time: I went a little nuts with bow making this year 🫣🤭

I still have sooooo many gorgeous bows in all my normal sizes and styles, many in the fantasy theme - fairies, mermaids, dragons…. You get the idea 🧚 🧜‍♀️ 🐉 💫

I’ll be bringing them to my events for the rest of the year BUT I’m considering adding them to an online store in the meantime. It would have to be over time - there are so many - so what theme would you like me to start with? Anything in particular?

Hands up who’d be keen to get some Christmas shopping done sooner rather than later? 🙋‍♀️🙋🏽🙋🏼‍♂️🙋‍♀️🙋🏽🙋🏼‍♂️

Bushy Creek Festival is about to open its doors and welcome you all to Julatten north of Mareeba!

It’s cool and overcast but the music is already playing and food and drink available. Lots of stalls, workshops and performances to keep you entertained for a few hours or the whole weekend.

Know a mini maker who’d like a chance to exhibit his or her creations?

🌟 CALLING OUR MINI MAKERS! 🌟

We have counted and recounted and we have one stall available at the Bushy Creek Makers’ Fair, and we’re thinking of our local kids and young people!

Sell something you’ve made, baked or grown: garden goodies, seedlings, flowers, cakes, cookies, paintings, jewellery, cards, crafty creations or weird little inventions.

Here are the rules:

🧡 You’ll share the Mini Makers stall with other young sellers.
🧡 You’ll need to commit to running it for a few hours over the weekend.
🧡 You must be comfortable handling money and serving customers.
🧡 A trusted adult from our community will be there to help at all times (this might be your mum or dad stepping up - hint hint) and can mind your goodies if you need to step away.

You don’t need enough stock to fill a whole table. Bring what you have and experience the fun of running a real market stall!

Interested? Send us a message with your Mini Maker’s name, age, what they’d like to sell and when they’re available.

I made SO many gorgeous fantasy-themed goodies for the Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival, and while the festival may be over, I still have plenty of magical treasures available! ✨

What an epic day yesterday at the Townsville Medieval & Fantasy Festival! So much to see and do across the day - from dancing and singing, to fencing and duelling - plus jousting which was a first for me to see!

A huge thank you to the organisers and all the volunteers who made yesterday happen. It takes a lot of planning, a lot of time and effort to pull off such a huge event - so a big thank you to everyone who contributed to a great day.

And a big thank you to all of the revellers who supported small businesses by stopping at our stalls, making a purchase or just sharing a smile or compliment - you guys made the event the experience that it was.

Time to leave behind the fantasy realm and return to normal routines and work… but keep the magic and wonder with you 🧚‍♀️🐉✨🦄
