Want to grab yourself an original artwork at a reduced price?

This was the first artwork I did with reclaimed yarn - gorgeous Mohair, to be specific. Originally it had some exposed fabric at the top. I decided to finish it off with yet more beautiful Mohair, in part because I was worn down by my son asking when I was going to “finish it”. 🤣

I was a young resident of Weston Creek, Canberra when the 2003 bushfires hit, as I am today (though not so young!).

The recent recounting of that day, 20 years on, brought me to tears. But it also inspired me.
