A new kitchen for a new chapter | Our Kingston Foreshore Residence was designed for a client entering a new stage of life and wanting her home to feel distinctly her own.

With beautiful views across the lake and surrounding bushland, the setting became an important part of our inspiration. We wanted to bring some of those natural colours and warmth inside, while completely rethinking an existing kitchen that felt enclosed and disconnected from the rest of the home.

Emerald green quartzite became the hero of the new kitchen, its beautiful variation picking up on the greens and changing tones of the landscape outside. We paired it with warm timber joinery and aged bronze details to create a palette that feels natural, warm and inviting.

Opening up the original footprint allowed us to introduce a generous island and create a much stronger connection between the kitchen, living and dining spaces. The curved end and bronze cylindrical leg were designed to give the island a more furniture-like quality and soften its scale within the open-plan room.

This project is a lovely example of why a renovation should be about more than replacing what was there before. It is an opportunity to reconsider how you want to live, and create a home that reflects the next chapter.

In our Weetangra project, linear brickwork was used to bring texture into the interior without adding another colour or competing material.

The long, narrow format creates a subtle horizontal line that draws the eye through the home, while the soft, tonal finish sits quietly alongside the timber joinery and polished concrete flooring.

It’s a good example of why material selection is about more than choosing finishes you like individually.

The scale, format, texture and relationship between materials all influence how a space feels. Sometimes the most effective design decisions are the quiet ones.

Timeless, sculptural and beautifully simple. The Noma Co Studio marble console was the perfect piece for the entry at our Reid Residence, sitting beautifully against the curved wall and creating a focal point without overwhelming the space.

Paired with artwork from OAT STUDIO and accessories from Miko Designs , it’s a quiet little moment that sets the tone for the rest of the home.

Dew Fall House | An ensuite designed around the little things. For my Dew Fall House client, I wanted to create an ensuite that felt calm and beautiful, but also made everyday life that little bit easier.

It’s often the details you don’t immediately notice that make the biggest difference.

Natural Carrara marble brings softness and character to the benchtop and feature wall, while handmade blown-glass wall lights create a beautiful, gentle ambience at night.

PowerPoints are concealed inside the vanity drawers, keeping appliances plugged in but completely off the benchtop.

And one of my favourite decisions: no shower glass. The marble dividing wall creates separation and privacy without another surface to constantly clean.

These details may be small individually, but together they completely change how a space feels and functions.

For me, good interior design goes well beyond selecting beautiful finishes. It’s thinking through how my clients will use their home every single day, then designing for it.

A slither of treetop views for your morning shower…

This little window was carefully positioned to frame the greenery beyond, bringing natural light and a glimpse of the outdoors into the shower.

Soft stone, handmade tiles, brushed brass and reeded glass create a bathroom that feels calm, warm and tranquil.

Great design isn’t just about how a space looks. It’s about how it makes life better.

My Reid clients wanted a beautiful kitchen that also made family life smoother, mornings calmer and entertaining easier.

My approach to design goes well beyond aesthetics. I obsess over the small, practical details that transform how my clients live every day.

For my Reid clients, this meant:

✔️ A custom tea + coffee station for their morning rituals
✔️ A dedicated wine bar + buffet area for effortless entertaining
✔️ Hidden in-drawer charging stations to reduce clutter
✔️ Pull-out drawers for oils + condiments right beside the cooktop
✔️ Motion-sensor lighting in the pantry + cabinetry
✔️ A large island (no sink!) to maximise prep space and keep the benchtop clear

These might seem like small details, but together they’ve completely changed how this family experiences their home.

In our Googong kitchen, the stone is the focal point of the entire space. Formed over thousands of years, natural stone brings a depth, movement and individuality that is hard to replicate.

Every vein, texture and variation tells its own story, creating a kitchen that feels both timeless and unique.

Beautitul, durable and made to be lived with, it’s a material that elevates even the simplest everyday moments.

A laundry might be one of the hardest-working rooms in the home, but that doesn’t mean it needs to feel purely practical.

At our Reid Residence, we designed this space to feel light and calm, with plenty of functionality tucked into the details.

There’s room for two washing machines and a dryer, a generous fireclay farmhouse sink, three double pull-out hampers, a hanging rail for air drying, plenty of bench space and a combination of tall cabinetry and deep drawers.

Everything has its place, making the everyday routine of washing, sorting and folding that little bit easier.

Proof that even the most practical room in the house can still be beautiful.

Tone on tone bathrooms look simple at first glance, but getting them right takes intention.

For our Reid ensuite, the key was creating interest without disrupting the feeling of calm.

If you want a refined, timeless palette, focus on variation in form rather than variation in colour. Here’s where to start.

➡️ Use one dominant tone across your tiles, stone and paint.

➡️ Keep the colour consistent so the room feels calm.

➡️ Add depth through shape. Think a mix of square tiles, soft curves or a vertical stack tile pattern.

➡️ Refine the joinery. A subtle texture or a profiled joinery style creates quiet contrast without pulling focus.

➡️ Keep fixtures understated so the palette stays cohesive.

➡️ Bring in warmth with lighting. Soft ambient light elevates a neutral scheme and makes the tone on tone look intentional.

This approach keeps the space sophisticated while still feeling layered. When your tones match, every detail matters.
