An absolute garden bucket list plant for me, this one was planted as tube stock 8 years ago. It's hard to be mad at Canberra's fierce winter when it brings us this beauty.

I had the absolute pleasure to spend this last weekend with treasured friends in the Blue Mountains, including a very talented friend who generously shared her camera and love of bird and animal photography with me.

I managed to snap this Eastern Spinebill in banksia ericifolia (?) ❤️

Looking forward to many more Australian Native plant and bird photography adventures together in our future.

Epacris longiflora photographed along the way to Wentworth Falls Katoomba, Blue Mountains, NSW.

Seeing these tenacious little beauties blooming from the rocks in winter here gives me great hope for the little tubes I've planted in a rockery in my Canberra garden.

It's cold and rainy here in Canberra so I am looking back on my visit to the Australian National Botanic Gardens in March rather than heading out to our own garden for photos today.

Spot the spider webs for scale to appreciate just how tiny the flower detail and leaves are on this Melaleuca thymifolia (pink lace honey myrtle).

The detail is far too fine for us to turn into laser cut garden art but a very pretty plant from our garden to share nonetheless.
