Transferred the bees from a warre nuc into the new kenyan top bar hive I built last week. It was a real challenge with the two different hives being different sizes so I made up some KTB hive top bar ‘frames’ and held the comb in there with elastic bands till they attach it all again. Will do an inspection in a couple of weeks…

Progress on the k75 is going well. The fact that it now runs allows me to get in and do the bits n bobs in order to get it back on the road. Spent the day going through and changing all of the fluids. Took the forks out to change the seals too. Found a few things in the box of bits from and managed to get the din plug working again… big shout out to at K Model Beemer Bits in Bega for his knowledge in answering my dumb questions and providing me with all the right bits, thank you!

So I have been a bit busy lately with the bike… so in order to get it to go I have to get the fuel injectors and fuel pressure regulator serviced. I went to Peter at Canberra Care Care in Fyshwick and he did an awesome job! I put the fuel tank on, put some fuel in it, and then connected up the new battery and then after replacing the fuses it took a couple of presses of the starter and away it went!

So after a few days of looking through the k75 I think it’s just a matter of initially getting it to go and then get it on the road with club rego I think? One of the old owners went nuts with a rattle can and painted everything he could see flat black, except for those white wheels (they r gonna go too! Once it’s on the road I can then do extra bits n bobs as I get a chance… hopefully at the end it looks a bit like pic number 2! But in red…
