11 years ago, we took a leap. No real plan, just a belief that I had to give this a go.
I’m still not sure how we pulled it off. We’ve been through the bushfire smoke, the hailstorm, lockdowns when the doors were closed and we didn’t know if we’d open them again and now we are currently living through a time where everything feels much harder. There were days I wondered if we’d make it.
Through all of it, this shop has been home. My kids have grown up in this store. My son took his first steps right here. We’ve worked with hundreds of makers and local Canberra businesses, supported local charities and been lucky to have a team who believed in this as much as we did.
But mostly, it’s you. You kept coming back, you shopped local when it would have been easier not to and you cheered us on when we needed it most. We are forever grateful.
Here’s to the people who got us through and hopefully another 11 years!
