Another Color Your Heart colour challenge done. This is #615. I used capri, lemonade and evergreen. I thought it was about time I made a male card!

I stencilled the background with capri and lemonade. I stamped the sneakers on evergreen, then used a white gel pen to add details. I added some black Stickles to the centres of the embossed hexagons.

This was a rush to finish on time, but here’s my entry for this week’s Color My Heart colour dare challenge to use shades of red, blue and yellow. Challenge number 613. These photos from the street art in Melbourne’s AC/DC Lane were very colourful and leant themselves to the challenge I thought. Close to my Heart had a Scrapbooking stamp called Fresh Paint, that was perfect. Sadly I didn’t own the stamp though, so my friend and fellow maker Anne came to the rescue! I hope you like it.

Hooray. 🥳 I better work on the next one quick!

Here we go again with another Color my Heart colour dare. It’s a tic tac toe one, number 612. I chose the last column of sundance, lagoon and sapphire plus a little evergreen.

I started by inking a piece of white cardstock with sundance across the centre, then lagoon at the top and sapphire along the bottom. I cut up that piece into half inch wide strips and then put them back together at varying heights. I added some white and lagoon matting before adding the sunflowers that I coloured wth a blender pen and sundance and evergreen inks. I finished it of with some gold coloured liquid pearl drops.

I’m intrigued that even though it’s sapphire ink at the bottom, it looks kind of green so that the background effect is like grass/stalks, sunflowers and sky.

I’m on a roll! Here’s another Color my Heart Colour dare challenge #611 to use at least three of the listed colours. I chose pine, papaya and peach.

I am going be so sad once I finish my stash of Close to my Heart double sided cardstock! I love that I can get the different shades by using both the light and dark sides.
