There is a moment when you first unfold a piece of vintage fabric where time seems to compress. The cloth might be forty years old, or seventy. It carries the weight of another era's manufacturing, the subtle variations from older looms and natural fibres. Sometimes there is a faint scent of cedar or dried lavender.

This is where our work begins—not with trend forecasts, but with cloth that already has a history.

A bolt of French ticking from the 1960s has a density that differs from anything made today. Welsh wool blankets carry patterns reflecting regional traditions now largely forgotten. Japanese cottons from small family workshops have a character that mass production cannot replicate.

We believe the most sustainable fabric is often the one that already exists. And objects made from materials with their own stories become more meaningful to the people who use them.
