YES MY FRIENDS, I know we all love a visual doom scroll particularly when planning an event! Creativity and personalisation is the new buzzword trending for wedding styles. Using my Designer eye, I have extracted THREE UNEXPECTED TRENDS in wedding flowers that you need to know.

Don’t book a venue or lock in your ‘look’ until you read this!

| TWISTED TALES |
Creative florists reign here, putting a new ‘twist’ on the flowers we work with everyday. The green stems, grasses and vines have become a part of the vibe. Stripped leaves turn into plaits or braids, vines become structure and sexy. Turn flowers upside down to lay the flower head on the table there really are no rules!

| ENMASSE ELEGANCE |
Have you heard the saying “less is more”? Less variety but done in hectic volume. This allows the few florals selected to become HEROS. This also means you don’t need to spend top $$ on a premium variety like Calla Lilly or Anthurium. Apply to bridal party bouquets or grand ceremony and reception installations. If you are feeling overwhelmed with your wedding planning, I want you to know I used to be overwhelmed as well.

As the Florist- I was getting upwards of 15 enquiries per week all wanting phone consultations and a ‘free quote’ that took me hours to craft with beautiful words and images.

I would explain flower pricing and how it all works:
60% flowers, 30% labour and services and 10% taxes.

Then ghosting. Nothing. Not even a Thankyou email!
I was burning out as the wedding Florist and felt so depleted!

I knew my floral work was original & cool but why?!

So I stopped and changed from operating as a ‘retail service’ to what we are - a design service.

By flipping the narrative to a design service, it takes the pressure off me to price up each individual wedding to offer a detailed quote. Instead, I focus on listening to what you want at your wedding and write a personalised scope of work to the budget you want to invest.

I have introduced set pricing for bespoke wedding designs so I don’t have to do a detailed quote or scare you with the “final number” anymore!

You can simply choose your level of investment from my recommendations and years of experience delivering events, and we write a wedding flower scope that is personalised to you. We offer a design service rather than a retail way of thinking of your flowers. Get it?

It’s like a line of credit for your flowers & we can invest it how you want. For example:

The Lovers $4500 is flowers only & will allocate
$3000 on flowers
$1500 on 2 Florists labour and services including delivery, install, pack-down and a visual proposal

Client A wants a big bridal party of 8, minimal ceremony flowers and allocates it all to the reception flowers on tables and making the venue lush with seasonal florals.

Clint B wants a chic bridal party of two , a modern ceremony flower tower and repurpose it to the reception as a photo wall with premium orchids.

When you choose us as your Floral Event Designer, you get a more considered eye over your spaces, than ‘just the flowers’.
