Little known fact 👉 Painting your door too dark will void the warranty! Yes, you heard that right...
Unfortunately darker paint colours will attract more heat and cause twisting and warping, sometimes even before they're hung on the hinges 😬
In order to avoid this you first need to understand a little concept called LRV aka Light Reflective Value ☀️
The lighter a paint colour, the more it reflects light, therefore absorbing less light and heat, therefore less warping.
Paint colours with an LRV of 0-50 are generally a no-go if you want to keep your warranty on your brand spanking new door, so to be on the safe side opt for a colour with an LRV greater than 50. Easy peasy 🙌🏼customconstructions .architects
