NOW SELLING: Antique Danish rococo chest of four drawers with shaped front cross banded and burl walnut marquetry inlay. The chest of 4 drawers of the 18th century in the manner of master cabinet maker to the King of Denmark , Mathias Ortmann.
Danish circa 1770..

The serpentine front shaped drawers with pale burl walnut centres surrounded by pale walnut cross banding.
All drawers retain original working locks and an ornate brass key supplied and are all working smoothly.
Well polished finish in walnut marquetry with enhanced gold leaf edging.
The highlights of gilt carved ornaments are typical of Mathias Ortmann's cabinet making skills. As most original 18th century pieces of his are well catalogued and located in museums and royal residences, this is an 18th century original in the manner of Ortmann and presents a rare opportunity to own a piece of Danish history.

1 working key supplied, everything works smoothly as it should. All drawer runners have been serviced for smooth operation.

NOW SELLING: Antique style Biedermeier centre table gueridon table in burl yew wood and blonde walnut in the neoclassic Austrian Empire manner with carved lions legs in ebonised black and gilt finish.

The round top of blonde book matched burl yew veneers with walnut cross banded border is beautifully french polished.
Good hand polished french polish finish all round. Nice and sturdy ideal lamp or side table, hallway centre table.

North American late 20th century in the Biedermeier and Austrian Empire manner of 1810.

NOW SELLING: Antique style centre table in burl walnut & carved walnut raised on neoclassic columns and fluted apron and with bronze panel insert in the Louis XVI manner by Paul Maitland Smith for Theodore Alexander.

The round top of blonde book matched burl walnut veneers with walnut cross banded border is beautifully french polished.

The carved fluted apron is raised by
elegrant carved column legs.
Good original french polished finish. Nice and sturdy ideal lamp or side table, hallway centre table.

NOW SELLING: Antique Scandinavian solid pine chest of 5 drawers of the late Gustavian period circa 1790.
The painted chest is made in three sections in the campaign style for easy carrying up those narrow 18th century stone staircases.

The top with reeded panel sides and front with a shallow top drawer that opens with original key to working lock is opened in the traditional manner with a push pull key.
Two futher drawers below are fitted with bronze ring pull handles. This section lifts off the next two lower drawer section which in turn lifts off the carved base with its ornate fluted taper legs and peggen construction.
The main 4 drawers are flanked by corner columns with gilt bronze corinthian capitals and bases.

All drawers open very smoothly as all runners and glides have been replaced/serviced to ensure many decades of trouble free usage.

This 18th century chest has been lovingly restored and hand painted in in the traditional Gustavian grey in the 18th century manner and is ready for duty in your home. All original 18th century locks are in place.

The wingback with carved and gilt border with ornate antique floral tapestry. The watergilt neoclassic scrolls join arms and back to the generous sized seat that is also covered in original antique silk Aubusson tapestry. Raised on turned and fluted legs. NOW SELLING: Antique Swedish blonde satin birch chest of 2 drawers of Art Deco era in the neoclassical and Biedermeier revival manner Stockholm circa 1920.
The satin birch top with carved and part ebonised back over two drawers. The top drawer with an ingenious secondary drawer inside for smaller items. Each with original working locks and 2 original keys supplied . All drawers open smoothly as they should.
Raised on elegant carved black legs with curved apron in the Biedermeier manner.
Perfect statement piece for any Art Deco or minimalist modern interior.

NOW SELLING: Pair antique French Louis XV fauteuil armchairs with tapestry needlepoint and large comfortable seats. French circa 1900.
The chairs feature large and very comfortable seats with original antique hand stitched needlework tapestry upholstery in excellent condition and supported by springs underneath for extra comfort.
Raised on carved cabriole legs with the padded backs and padded armrests.
These chairs are in the mid 18th century French Louis XV rococo style and date from late 19th early 20th century and are beautifully carved. Ideal for any stylish 18th century chateau or classic rococo interior.
These types of open sided armchairs with angled backs are known as Fauteuil a la Reine.
Good original polish all round. Note the subtle design differences in the hand made petit point needlework.

NOW SELLING: Antique pair of French Rococo Louis XV style bedside tables or chests of two drawers with serpentine front and ornate sides polished all round so they can stand as lamp tables in the centre of a room.
Each drawer with rosewood marquetry inlay and kindwood.
Fitted with bronze handles and ormolu sabot mounts. Carved rococo legs highlight these cute marble top stands or bedside chests
The shaped sienna marble tops add to the versatile design and a shallow depth of only 29 cm is ideal as hall console tables.
Each piece is signed by the maker with an impressed Stamp by the famouse cabinetmaker SKALSKI . Dated 23.4.67

Antique Neoclassic Swedish Gustavian chest of 3 drawers with carved column pilasters flanking three drawers. Solid pine and hand painted grey patina finish circa 1860.

In the Swedish late Gustavian manner with bronze handles and escutcheons working locks and key.

The elegant French influence of the late 18th century is evident in the architectural carvings with bronze handles and escutcheons.
Each drawer with original working locks and a key is supplied.
All drawer runners have been serviced and operate smoothly.

Good size will suit many interiors as a hallway console piece, bedside chest of drawers or lounge room sideboard in the provincial Scandinavian country style.
