I built this large bowl in a plaster mould from a textured slab of clay. When i pressed the clay into the mould I was careful not to the joins and cracks in the slab.

When the bowl was leather hard I smoothed out areas of texture. I then applied a transfer pattern to the smooth areas of clay.

Here are some more pictures from last weekend's market. I aways take photos after I have set up before the customers arrive. It's a good way to keep track of my pottery and how my stall is looking.

I am starting to think it would be a good idea to take some more photos at the end of the market. This would be a quick way of checking what I need to make more of.

It's time to start making pots for Christmas which means at the end of each day making a couple of little houses.

Little houses are popular throughout the year but they are particularly popular at Christmas time. They make nice gifts and are small and light so they are very easy to post.

Today I have been packing pottery ready for tomorrow's market. This little house has been sold but I have packed some new little houses for tomorrow's stall.

Each little house is unique and special in its own way. I'm sure my new little houses will find an owner too.
