My dad loves his veggie garden and is always ready with a joke. 💙

What kind of dad are you celebrating on Father’s Day?

The gardener, the BBQ chef, the car enthusiast, the traveller… or perhaps the dad who always has a joke ready?

On my latest BLOG I’ve put together ideas for different kinds of Dads, with thoughtful gifts and ideas to suit the things he loves.

Perhaps though the most meaningful gift of all doesn’t come in a box.

Your time.

A favourite meal made for him. A walk together. Helping in the garden. Going for a drive. Looking through old photos. Listening to his stories. Or simply sitting down together with a cuppa and having a chat.

Sometimes it’s the little things that become the memories we treasure most. 💙

For more meaningful Father’s Day ideas, you can read my latest blog on my website (link is in the bio).

And if you’d like future editions of My Home Journal delivered straight to your inbox you can sign up there too.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the Dads, Granddads and father figures who mean so much!
Cheers, Monique 💙🩵

In our family on Father’s Day we honour my dad (Opa to our family) and my husband, by coming together for a special meal, listening to music (usually my dad’s favourite German folk music), sharing a glass of wine, chatting and simply enjoying each other’s company.

My daughter will hand out her handmade cards and we will have a little gift that has been carefully chosen to suit each of them just so.

Father’s Day doesn’t always have to be about finding the big or even a perfect gift. Sometimes, the most meaningful things are the simplest - time spent together, a favourite meal, a shared laugh or a memory made.

I’ve just shared my latest BLOG and My Home Journal e-newsletter, filled with meaningful Father’s Day ideas for dads, granddads and the special father figures in our lives - including a few ideas that won’t cost a thing!

A little inspiration for celebrating the men who mean so much.

There’s something so lovely about a throw rug — and it’s one of those pieces that earns its place in your home all year round. 🤍

Drape one over the arm of the lounge for those cooler evenings when you just need a little extra warmth, or fold it neatly over the back of the sofa to instantly add colour, texture and a cosy, lived-in feel.

This comforting blue, green & ivory check throw with its soft fringe is just the kind of piece that works beautifully with so many interiors. 💙💚

✨ Keep it handy for chilly evenings
✨ Add a layer of texture to your lounge
✨ Give an old sofa or chair a fresh new look
✨ Easily change the feel of a room with the seasons
✨ And, of course, perfect for curling up under with a cuppa and a good book!

Practical, pretty and wonderfully versatile — because the best homewares are the ones that not only look beautiful, but are ones that you actually use too.

If you love this look, this throw rug is available both in-store and online (link is in my bio).

Wishing you a lovely cosy evening, Monique

How lovely does it feel to be noticed! To be appreciated for the little things you do and for the love and care you take.

Receiving feedback like this reminds me of why I do it, why I love this beautiful business I’ve created and that every detail matters. Thank you Chloe!

Perhaps today we should all let someone know that those little things that they do every day, makes all the difference, and is truly appreciated.

Whether you are in my store and we spark up a conversation about this or that, need some advice about which cushion colours would suit your lounge, need some gift ideas for that person who has everything, or you are happy for me to wrap the gift that you know will make someone’s day- just remember that you are making my day too!

Stay warm and cosy my friends, Monique 💙🩵
