NEW ARTIST ALERT HELEN RICHARDS‼️‼️‼️
Helen Richards is a Colac-based visual artist who finds inspiration in the people, places, and moments that shape our lives. Her work explores human nature, memory, personal identity, and the quiet beauty of everyday objects through still life and expressive storytelling. Working with oils, acrylics, and mixed media, Helen is drawn to the rich colours of the Australian landscape and the emotions they evoke.
Having completed higher studies in Commercial Interior Design, Visual Art, and Fashion Design, Helen brings a diverse creative perspective to her practice, blending an understanding of colour, composition, texture, and design across a range of artistic styles.
Her paintings range from whimsical and imaginative scenes to more classical subjects, each reflecting her curiosity about the world and her connection to the people around her. Exhibited in local galleries and held in private collections throughout Victoria, Helen’s work is characterised by layered textures, vibrant colour, and a genuine desire to create pieces that resonate with others. Through her art, she hopes to encourage viewers to pause, reflect, and discover their own stories within each painting.
