Limited tickets left for this Sunday (17th May) morning! The house is in Coburg, so get your coffee and stop by!

More than just a comfortable home that makes you so relaxed you'd want to chat non-stop, the Life Cycle House is a project where we considered every detail to lower carbon emissions starting with the biggest factor of all: size. Designed on an economical footprint for a family of six (with room to run a business from home!), our Life Cycle Assessment guided every decision. Think passive solar design, high-performing building fabric, and PV panels, but honestly? Keeping it compact while making it functional, beautiful, and full of natural light is what made the real difference. Smaller footprint, bigger impact. 🌿✨

Every project is personal, and this one goes back to a conversation about Japan. Charred timber, hand made ceramic shingles and true craftsmanship make this home as personal as one can be. Great team effort!

But it all started with a plan…

As we move towards adaptive reuse, retrofit, and alterations and away from demolition and rebuild, it's essential to rethink our design approach to deliver a new and better built environment with less material use, resource demand, and embodied carbon.
Here is a nice article by McFayden from on one of our projects - a remodeling of an existing home without adding a single square meter:
