Calamus Suspension by Melogranoblu.

A light inspired by the act of writing.

Taking its name and form from an ancient writing instrument, Calamus reinterprets a familiar object through hand-blown ruled glass. Suspended in sequence, the elongated glass elements catch and refract the light, creating layers of transparency, reflection and gentle luminosity across the room.

In this dining space, Calamus 136 becomes more than a source of light. It draws the eye vertically through the interior, adding rhythm and delicacy without interrupting the architecture around it.

Stylos Suspension Linear by Venicem.

Designed to draw the eye across a space, Stylos Suspension Linear transforms the collection’s signature glass cylinders into a striking horizontal composition.

Three diffusers form a measured rhythm along the line, with white, caramel and pink satin blown glass able to be combined to create a more subtle or expressive palette. Turned metal inserts punctuate the sequence, giving definition to each volume while maintaining the continuity of the piece.

Suspended above a dining table, kitchen island, meeting table or bar, its softly diffused, dimmable light brings both atmosphere and structure to the space below.

A contemporary gesture within centuries of history.

Inside Villa Pisani in Bologna, the Duolì Maxi by Qu Lighting introduces a delicate, almost weightless counterpoint to the richly preserved architecture surrounding it.

Inspired by the traditional Chinese straw hat, its distinctive conical shade and slender curved stem give the floor lamp an elegant sense of movement. Designed for both indoor and outdoor settings, Duolì Maxi combines die-cast aluminium and fibreglass in a form that feels light, flexible and quietly expressive.

Here, positioned against time-worn frescoes and terrazzo floors, it demonstrates how contemporary lighting can belong within a historic interior without competing with it.

Quiet lighting. Considered architecture.

Lightwood Farm by JCBA Architects sits sensitively within the rural landscape of Flinders on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, bringing together warm timber, polished concrete and expansive glazing.

Look closely at the timber ceilings and you’ll find Rocchetto In & Out by Qu Lighting.

Its compact trimless form allows the fitting to almost disappear into the architecture, appearing as a series of minimal black apertures while delivering precise, adjustable light where required.

A beautiful example of architectural lighting doing exactly what it should: supporting the space without competing with it.
