This week's menu was picked by my youngest.

I went to IKEA on the weekend and came home convinced Swedish meatballs should be on the menu. My Daughter informed me that was not the answer. What we really needed, apparently, was more stews, more soups, a roast pork dish, and lots of proper comforting winter food.

She probably wouldn't eat many of these meals herself, but she picked them for you, and I went with it.

This week: Braised Steak and Onions, Slow Cooked Pork with a Honey Butter Crust, Honey Soy Garlic Chicken, Vegetarian Cottage Pie, Country Cream of Chicken Soup, and Tuna Melts.

Lasagna is back on the menu this week - last time we had it on the menu we got such lovely feedback we knew we had to have it on again! Slow cooked ragu, layers of creamy bechamel and fresh pasta - topped with mozzarella and parmesan ready for you to finish in the oven at home. Available in 500g which feeds two (or gives you left-overs), and a larger family serve. Yum!

I’m finally re-attempting something I get asked about quite often: a proper printed Open Sauce Kitchen menu.

We have tried printed menus before, but because our Weekly Specials change so often, it has always been a bit tricky to make something that stays useful for more than five minutes.

But as a sage friend pointed out recently, our Frozen Faves don’t actually change all that much, and there is more than enough there to fill a page.

Turns out, two pages.

So here it is: my first proper attempt at our 2026 winter menu that focuses on the meals we keep coming back to.

Before I send it off to print a gazillion copies, I’d love some fresh eyes from the people who actually order from us.

Does it make sense?
Is anything confusing?
Is there anything you’d want to know before ordering?

Be kind, but honest. I’d much rather fix anything now than notice it after it’s printed.

And yes, if you spot a typo, I’ll be both grateful and mildly embarrassed.

This one is vegetarian, cosy and nourishing, but still bright from the lemon. White beans, greens and a lovely savoury finish. One of those meals that feels light but still warms you up.

Week 13 specials are open for orders.

This week: Beef Lasagna (regular and Gluten Free), Baked Honey Mustard Chicken with Mash and Veggies, Roast Lamb with Veggies and Gravy, Lemon White Bean Stew (new, vegetarian), and Salmon Quiche (also available Gluten Free).

We have also added a new Weekly Comfort Pack. Three mains, two soups and a dessert for $65. A simple way to stock the freezer with a bit of variety.

Roast Lamb with Veggies and Gravy. One of those meals that fills the kitchen with the smell before you even open the container.

Handmade in our Coomera kitchen and delivered for you to enjoy at home.

This was a favourite in our house growing up - and one that always reminds me of the TV commercial where Naomi Watts won a date with Tom Cruise and turned it down because "mum's doing a Lamb Roast!" Classic! Am I the only one who thinks of that ad whenever there is Roast Lamb on the menu??
