P H E W 🩷 My last wedding pickup for today is complete. Now it's time for Easter, we will re-open 9am on 7 April.

From our last post on 10 January to now we have been super busy. I think we did five Wedding Open Days and Expos in four weekends from 11 January onwards. Then the invitation appointments have rolled in, making our remaining weekends full up. More Open Days. We have met so many lovely couples it makes my heart happy. It's grand to be busy, to be pushed with new ideas… really happy. We will have a little rest and then bounce back into things.

If you are waiting for a quote from me, I know there are two that I haven't done yet, then I will be onto them next week. We had a couple of curveballs this week with Dad back in hospital twice. Life doesn't get easier the older you get, and Dad is copping it at the moment. Wish I could make it easier for him. But I can't. I will send him all your love though and that will make him smile.

H E L L O 🩷 L O V E L I E S 🩷 Grateful for the holiday rest and break. I successfully banished the word busy from my life for four weeks. Was wonderful. Ate two meals a day, good food. Played with the cats, read books, poked seeds into soil, talked to my tomatoes, they are growing so nicely.

While on holidays we did do three Wedding Open Days. The first was at Stanley Park at Fullerton Cove. Yesterday we were at Adams Peak Country Estate in Broke and also at Ben Ean in Pokolbin, so two places at once! We had a great day!

And now… we are back at work! Not sure if I am ready for busy. But will do my best, and that's all any of us can do xox Cath.

W E 🩷 W I S H 🩷 Y O U 🩷 a peaceful christmas time. Love. Peace of mind. A heart full of family. All the things that matter. It's been a challenging year for all manner of reasons. Bondi has knocked the stuffing out of so many people. There is so much sadness. Please take some time out to be still, and rest, and enjoy the small things. Sending everyone love.

We are now on holiday, but we’ll be back on Monday 19 January.

🩷 1 0 5 T H 🩷 B I R T H D A Y 🩷 Our beautiful May has reached her milestone event. Congratulations on beating your Dad's record of 105 years and two weeks! May was determined to do it and she has. It's nice to have such good news. Wishing her a peaceful Christmas filled with family and lovely food.

The photo is from a few years ago in the shop. May has been shopping via phone recently and lovely people come and pick her orders up for her.

🩷 O N E 🩷 L A S T 🩷 D A Y 🩷 before Christmas holidays! So ladies and gents if you want your craft fix pre-chrissy pop in tomorrow. We will be open from 9am until 4pm. We have found some wonderful new companies to order fabulous things from. Am so excited about them! I did test orders from two of them, have a third one still to do, but have missed the boat before the end of the year. Here's a pic of goodies from one of them.

2 0 2 6 🩷 C A L E N D A R S 🩷 Our gorgeous Decorate-It-Yourself calendars are in the final stages of being printed and bound. This year we are doing the popular 8x8 inch again and the collectable 12x12.5 inch style. The prices are the same as last year – $14.95 and $29.95. The cover theme matches the vibe of the year so far, I am calling it "I'm a Little Teapot!"

To order… please email me at [email protected] tell me how many you'd like, and what size. Include your postal address and a phone number. I can pack them, get the correct postage from Australia Post and ring you and do the credit card payment over the phone by moto. Or you can visit the shop and pick them up. Open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.

I have a list of people who have already ordered, so you will be the first orders to be packed and sent. Thank you for your patience ladies and gents!

On news of John's skydiving endeavours off ladders… His one broken rib is healing nicely. So grateful. It could have been so much worse. The joke at home is that between the two of us we have one good body 😁😂 here is one of my favourite scrap pages from years ago featuring two faces you may or may not remember 😘 aaaah, who else misses Basic Grey? I do.

E X T R A 🩷 L O N G 🩷 W E E K E N D 🩷 In honour of the 'Labour Day' Public Holiday we are adding an extra day to our Long Weekend. We will be closed from 4pm today and back next Tuesday at 10am.

…actually part of the reason we are having an extra day off is so that John can rest up a bit. He invented a new sport last Sunday. We expect "Skydiving off a Ladder" to be very successful at the next Olympics. He'll be resting so his ribs can recover before trying his next pioneering attempt at the sport. (Please Note: This Is Humour. True Story though.)

P U M P K I N 🩷 R I S O T T O 🩷 K I N G 🩷 I declare my lovely bloke – John – to be "The 2025 Risotto King!" 😁 Oh my goodness, this is good stuff 😂 he has been experimenting for six months now, and has now nailed it. If you know John you will know he has kept careful notes of all his experimentation too.
