I’m so close to finishing the mosaic for Elsie’s Project, then this happened…
I had a mosaic leaning up against my bookcase that my kitten decided would be fun to play behind. The mosaic fell and automatic reflex was to catch it - stupid move!!!

I have broken the cardinal rule for grinders - don’t leave the grinder bit attached when not using for long periods.
My poor old grinder bit is way past its lifespan but I cannot get it off to replace 😫
Any ideas on how to remove it at this point??

I’ve never ditched a work in progress before but I lost my way with the mosaic for Elsie’s Project (snippet shown) and started again.
I came to dislike it immensely and would’ve been embarrassed to hand it over.
Take 2 has begun, and I look forward to being able to share with everyone!

I’m thrilled to be making a mosaic for Elsie’s Retreat Project! They are creating a dedicated palliative care ward at Wyong Hospital, all organised by the incredible Margaret Pearce.
I can’t give too much away on the commission I’m working on as yet, but I feel honoured to be even a tiny part of this wonderful project!

This design is from a previous commission, loved by my dear friend Renee-Jayne McMaster, so this one is for her ❤️
It’s on a larger base than the original (second photo), so another border added, and, my error, used a darker grey grout. Renee still loves it so I’m happy 😊

A rescue from Socares at Charmhaven, she’s about 5 months old and such a sweetie and has become Benji’s best friend 🥰
