It is absolutely fine to draw inspiration from multiple sources. I simply wanted to share my truth in how I create my art — through storytelling, lived experience, and knowledge I have learned over many years, including learning how and when to share appropriately. Hi everyone! I wanted to share a little about the faces, names & stories behind Yala Wear. My business would not run without the knowledge, support, guidance and encouragement from my family.

Please take the time to read! Being an Aboriginal business owner who focuses on cultural practices it’s so important to give credit to our communities and elders who have given us this knowledge. One of the many ways I give back to my mob is by employing family to facilitate workshops and by purchasing earrings from them to resell. This ensures money goes back into our community.
