Here is the other card that was sent to Sri Lanka a few weeks ago. I heard last week that the cards finally reached the destination....a few weeks late for that first card, and a week early for this one. Oh well, that was definitely a big relief to me.
I had fun having a play with a new set here

Apart from a little bit of a mis-stamp....oops, i am really happy with how this relatively quick card has come out

Quite a few cards on the go at the moment. The 2 lucky recipients are 2 ladies who I have known for many years, who share the same birthday....a few years between them though. There is also a third friend, actually a friend of Mum's, but she passed a few years ago. All are people I have known for many, many years.
These 2 cards were after a play with some new foiling dies from Stampin' Up!. I unfortunately have not managed to get hold of the new foiling machine released by Stampin' Up!, but I decided to at least have a play with some of the items until I can get it. I was lucky enough to have actually bought a different foiling machine a few years ago, but the new one has some useful features also that will tempt me to upgrade.
Items Used:

https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/silver-stampin-hot-foil-rolls?demoid=4009419
and a unfortunately recently retired embossing folder, All in a Row

Thank you to for the initial idea, tweaked a little by a card I saw online demonstrating the new foiling system

I'm so sad. This is a year of special birthdays amongst my family in Sri Lanka.....and this was card 1 that I did and sent. I had just sent some important paperwork via registered post there a few days before, and was charged around the $33 dollar mark, but didn't feel that the extra expense was necessary for birthday cards......but it has been about 3 weeks, and the card still has not reached it's destination :( I wish there was a cheaper option to track our international mail Post
Anyway, the card has been shared with the recipient now, quite late for his birthday, but I gather I picked a good subject for him, based on the reactions :)
When I see sets that I can see being good for certain people, I grab them. This was a set from Spellbinders Paper Arts designed by . I've got a few of her other cars to do still....so stay tuned :)

Another card done. This time I was inspired by a lovely Canadian demonstrator, . She made a card using a style I had seen before, but never really tackled.....called a Faultline card. I have decided to play with some of my retired papers, and a recent set, . Another card to add to my collection :)

Last week, I heard that one of the team from Lift (where I do my cancer related exercise) was leaving, and I had to make a card for her. I have learnt over the years that she is a chilli lover, so was very happy that I managed to get this very suitable card knocked up over the weekend. How did I go? I think she liked it :) All products are from Stampin' Up! except for the letter dies. The other stamps and dies are retired though. It's not very obvious from this photo that I almost forgot to take, but the letters in the name are all raised up, as is the thank you background

I've had a few cards on the go lately, and haven't been able to sit and share them here also.....not all can be shared here until they reach their recipients though :)
Shown here are some of the things I have been playing with.
Card 1 is for a couple, who I haven't actually seen for quite a while, but Mum used to regularly make String Hoppers for her back in my school days....So I have very fond memories of her and those days. I've used a bit of a combination of products here.....Stampin' Up! cardstock and inks, champagne flutes are a long retired Stampin' Up! set. There's a bit of hot foiling and a lot of heat embossing.....and I think I like how it turned out
Card 2 is my card to David for our anniversary last week. I think I ended up using all products in this, apart from the cardstock. I'm not totally happy with the colour of the whiskey itself, but as a first play with this set, I think I did OK.
Photo 3 is my ChocoFlan dessert for the family dinner for the anniversary.....Recipe thanks to . Everyone really enjoyed it !!!!
Card 4 is a card that I made a few weeks back for one of the physios at Lift. I heard it was her birthday, and had just received the items to do a few classes using products I don't normally use, with a few teachers I have not followed previously. I have not done all the cards yet, but this was my first attempt.....before fully following a class. Dies and background stencil are from Spellbinders. Inks from Stampin' Up! and cardstock was a mixture of Spellbinders and Stampin' Up!

Finally I am having a chance to post again. It's been a bit of a chaotic few weeks.....My car back window decided to stop closing just before my birthday, my computer decided to write to the hard drive constantly so I was getting regularly urgent messages to clean up, the bathroom drains started overflowing.....and that was all on top of the issues David is having in the front garden with fixing up some guttering issues.
Anyway, I have managed to get a few more cards done lately, just not quite as much as I would ideally have liked to do.
- Card for one of the physios at Lift Cancer Care Services who recently expanded her qualifications
- Card for one of the team at who almost shares a birthday with me
- Card for another member of the team at Lift who celebrated a milestone birthday
- and finally yet another card made for one of the team there who has been there for quite a few years, and I have got to know quite well over the years. (It's very helpful having half done cards lying around the place, so I can knock up a card very quickly :) )

I've been quiet again. Things are going well.....but I'm still tired after doing too much through the day.....then have a habit of falling asleep in front of the TV quite regularly......so then not getting around to doing too much else through the evening. Anyway, we are currently in Birthday season, so I've made sure I try to get a few cards done.....plus a chocolate cake for my husband , who had a bit of a significant birthday, not long ago (The candles were not done by me!!!!). I will say, not one of my best, but for a family cake, which was enjoyed by all, I think it turned out well :)
David's card used mainly Stampin' Up! products, but the spinny part of the card is from Lawn Fawn, and the numbers are from Sizzix. Hopefully it makes sense what happened with it. Card 2 was a card I made for my walking buddy

I have been very quiet, as I have been playing catch up a bit after I got sick just after Christmas. It is now Clearance time at Stampin' Up!, and there is also a new catalogue coming.....so that means that lots of fun stuff is also going......including this punch that I used to make those quick cards a few months ago. If you have patterned paper that needs using up, this really is a great way to quickly create some cards for the stash. Here are details of the punch, and some of the cards I made, again
