Wombat Hill Nursery

Wombat Hill Nursery Wombat Hill Nursery is a local family business established in 1993. Quality general and seasonal stock at affordable prices.

Established in 1993, proprietors Jeff & Donna Thornycroft, foresaw the need to provide a nursery in a developing rural town that provided local knowledge about the adverse growing conditions in our area, supplying a large range of quality stock at affordable prices. And today, we still provide that same service. Over the past we have endured the hardships of drought & water restrictions. From the

beginning we only stocked plants that would not only survive but thrive in our cool climate. We discovered in the early years after seven consecutive frosts (below 0 º) that frost tolerant plants had to be very frost hardy. Our Nursery is unique because of Daylesford’s changing seasons. Bulbs, Berries, Fruit & Ornamental Trees in Winter. The freshest range of locally grown vegetable & flower seedlings and a fabulous range of bulk Spring Flowering bulbs in Autumn. We also offer a full floral service with flowers and foliage fresh from local growers and the Melbourne Flower Market. We provide a professional and personalised service striving to meet the requirements of our customers. Whether it be for an anniversary, birth or your wedding day, we are here to help. But most importantly of all we offer honest, good advice for free.
