The peaceful park - delightfully misleading! Sound maps are one of my favourite things to draw, puzzling out how to show bird sounds and then looking up how ornithologists describe them.

Ink and Quill workshop was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It is so interesting to see how people explore and react to art materials new to them, in this case traditional feather quill pens and oak gall ink. Definitely no ai involved 😀
Thanks to for providing workshop space in this lovely old building, and for taking photos.

Last day to book in to the Ink & Quill Workshop this Sunday in Deniliquin.

While the focus is on Jane Austen's use of quill pen and making her oak gall ink recipe, many great scientists and artists used oak gall ink and quill pens; Shakespeare, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Isaac Newton, the list goes on.

Come and learn how to make this historic ink.
