This post from my incredible artist friends Ron and Marjan classical painters brought a tear to my eye.
They are my kindred spirits in our love for all things timeless and beautiful and will very much be missed.
Au revoir and safe travels til we meet again x
Ron & Marjan Classical Painters….

🌺There are some places that possess not merely beauty, but atmosphere — places that feel thoughtfully gathered over time, with care, taste and a genuine love of beautiful things. The Provincial House on Stirling is certainly one of those rare places.
The Provincial House on Stirling
We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to Tanya, whose wonderful eye and warm generosity have created such a special corner in Albany. The Provincial House is filled with charm, elegance and that quiet old-world feeling so many of us long for — beautiful antiques, thoughtful objects, textures, light and history, all brought together with extraordinary care.
What has meant especially much to us personally is Tanya’s sincere support of classical art and traditional craftsmanship. In a modern world often rushing past such things, it is deeply encouraging to meet someone who so genuinely values timeless beauty and the enduring spirit of the handmade and the poetic.
We are also delighted to still have a selection of our artworks on display there and available for purchase amongst such a beautifully curated collection.
And of course… we could hardly leave Albany without one final visit and special goodbye to Tanya — and, naturally, without somehow discovering yet another irresistible French treasure to take east with us! We are quite certain Tanya has perfected the art of temptation. ✨
So now, as we continue our journey toward our new home, nibbling on Tanya’s beautiful French chocolates brought all the way from Paris, we carry with us not only a lovely object, but warm memories of kindness, beauty and friendship from The Provincial House on Stirling.
If you are in Albany, we warmly encourage you to visit. Spend a little time wandering through its space — it is the sort of place that reminds one how much beauty still matters.”
