Today was the day — the Slavic Festival in Melbourne! I was excited and nervous at the same time. One thing that kept me going was one of my favourite Romanian dishes: sarmale (stuffed cabbage) 😋. They were delicious, and afterwards I was one very happy lady, surrounded by my magical world of toys.

My girls came to help me, and they were so proud of their mum. They couldn't believe how many people were amazed by my toys. I sold most of them, although one was promptly confiscated by one of my girls!

But it wasn't really about selling. It was about the reactions I received — "These are amazing!", "So magical!", "Very impressive!" Those comments made all the hard work worthwhile.

Now it's time to give these fingers a well-earned rest before creating more toys. ❤️🧶✨

This cute ballerina is ready to join me at the Slavic Festival!

I’m feeling excited and terrified at the same time. Why? Because this is definitely not my usual environment and it’s well outside my comfort zone.

I love sharing my crocheted toys and the little world I create. It’s never really been about making a profit. Whether this ballerina finds a new home or not, that’s not what matters most to me.

I’m simply looking forward to meeting people, sharing my creations, and enjoying the experience.

I think I like Max more than Eleven. Don’t get me wrong, Eleven is amazing, but Max just feels more relatable to me. She’s strong without trying too hard, sarcastic, brave, and even when life gets really hard, she keeps fighting. Plus, her love for music made one of the most iconic scenes in the whole series. ❤️

Super excited to announce that I’ll be part of the upcoming Melbourne Slavic Festival on June 14th at Caulfield Racecourse! 🎉✨
I’ll have a stall full of my handmade crochet toys — and honestly… I may have gone a little crazy making them lately 😂 I have SO many cute creations ready already, and I cannot wait to share them with everyone. From dolls to animals and magical creatures, my crochet hook has definitely been working overtime 🧶💕
Now I need YOUR help!
What would YOU love to see at a market stall? What kind of toys do you think people would buy at the festival? Cute animals? Slavic-inspired dolls? Tiny keychains? Dragons? Food-themed plushies? Weighted dolls? Give me all your ideas because my brain is already overflowing with projects 😅

This unicorn might look simple, but it has a story behind it… my story.

Back in 2020, when COVID hit, I started crocheting to hide away in my own magical world. I was still exploring patterns and learning, starting with simple projects. This unicorn was one of the very first patterns I ever purchased.

Because I didn’t yet know the importance of finding the perfect yarn, I ordered the exact yarn mentioned in the pattern all the way from Ukraine. It took about two months to arrive, and as soon as it did, I started crocheting this unicorn.

Then suddenly, my toys became popular. Before I even finished this unicorn, I started getting lots of orders, so I put this little one aside for “later”…

Well, six years later, the time has finally come to finish this cutie 😊

And you know what? That yarn order from Ukraine was just the first of many more to come afterwards. The yarn is 100% cotton and absolutely perfect for my amigurumi toys.

So you see, even simple toys can carry big stories too ❤️
