✨ **A little fairy for a very special girl** 🧚♀️
Back in August, I once again volunteered at the My Room Gala Ball. My Room is an amazing Australian charity that supports children with cancer and their families, helping fund vital research, treatment, and support services. 💛
At the event, I met a beautiful family whose little girl had been through some very tough cancer treatment. Thankfully, she is now in remission. ❤️
I listened to their story and later had a little chat with her mum. I just wanted to tell her how amazing and strong she is, and that her little girl is a true fighter and a superhero.
We talked about how easy it is to take things for granted. Sometimes, we forget how lucky we are to have healthy children and how much we have to be grateful for.
I know this family is not the only one going through something like this. There are so many other stories, some even more heartbreaking. And while I cannot change what these families are going through, I can do something small to bring a little happiness into their lives.
So, I made this fairy with one very special girl in mind. 🧚♀️
I heard that she loves fairies, and honestly, what could be more perfect? A little handmade fairy to bring some extra magic into the life of a little fighter who has already shown so much strength.
Now, my next mission is to find a way to get this little fairy to her. But I have my little helpers, and no challenge is too big for me! 😁 I will make sure this fairy finds her way to its new home.
Sometimes, I wish I could crochet at the speed of light, never get tired, and make a special toy for every child who needs a little more magic in their life.
But since I can't (and my hands would probably disagree 😂), I will simply do as much as I can, one little toy at a time.
Because sometimes, a little bit of handmade magic can mean so much. ❤️🧚♀️
