Eyrie House is a striking residence on a very steep slope at the top of Mount Rumney, Tasmania. Designed by Matt Williams Architects.

The house features expansive, floor-to-ceiling areas of uninterrupted glazing to capture the panoramic views. Given the site’s extreme exposure and high bushfire risk, the specification of Rylock’s high-performance thermal frames were essential, delivering the ultimate blend of durability and thermal efficiency.

Architects Green Sheep Collective have beautifully reconfigured this family home, seamlessly blending functional private spaces with a stunning, sun-drenched extension designed for entertaining.

Custom Rylock Commercial Series windows and doors bring this design to life with:

Smart Ventilation: The bedrooms feature Counterbalanced Double Hung Windows, drawing cool air in through the bottom and expelling hot air out the top.

Sun & Connection: The rear extension features a massive, custom-made 6-panel, 6-metre-wide Stacker Door. Designed with a rebated flat sill, it creates a completely seamless transition from the polished concrete floors straight into the garden.

Privacy & Light: Satin translucent glass in the bathroom and ensuite ensures beautiful, diffused natural light.

With a striking inverted beam ceiling, corrugated cladding, and high-performance Rylock products, this home is built to endure and be enjoyed for generations.
