Hello lovelies, hope your week is going well. Some dotty fabric, not polka dots but cute all the same and beautifully usable! Very nice feel to this fabric also. And a spotty, dotty quilt just for fun with several spots and dots combined with some sweet May Gibbs style Australiana fabric. It's still a top only, quilting to follow. The fabrics are available online and the quilt will be available once completed. Link to the website is in my profile. Take care all.

Hello all. CraftAlive, along with the Canberra Quilters exhibition, was held here past week. I enjoyed walking through the stalls - yes, some purchases may have been made - and, of course, looking at the quilts. These are just some of the quilts that particularly caught my eye and include the exquisite best in show (first photo). I hope you enjoy them too.

Happy Tuesday all, my favourite day of the week. Apparently polka dots are the trend at the moment so this week we're looking at dots and spots. I do love a good dot or spot in a quilt and they make great backgrounds. We had fun with a sweet, little bag here - brown is definitely not dull in this lovely combination with tan and caramel!

Thoroughly enjoying this book this weekend. I hope your weekend is a good one.

Some fresh blocks and a small jumble of fabrics - work started on a commissioned quilt. It's a log cabin, using Japanese fabrics, with asymmetric blocks of varying sizes. Log cabin is one of my favourite patterns - you can make it perfectly even or not, a few colours or as many as you can find, quilt as you go or not. Interestingly though, I've found there is always a layer of cohesion through all these quilts I've made, even the scrappier ones, whether they're planned or random.

Happy Tuesday everyone, still my favourite day of the week. The week is still full of possibility and exhausted disillusion hasn't set in yet!
Spent last week in Sydney where I had a great evening with my girls at the Mumford and Sons concert. Even getting totally drenched by an unexpectedly heavy fall of rain as we walked back to the train station didn't spoil the fun!
Now it's back to the sewing machine and finishing a quilt top. Enjoy your week!

Good morning and a lovely morning here! A few weeks ago I posted this quilt which my son and I made for some family friends' little one. This other little quilt was made from leftover pieces and I think it's quite sweet.
