Bringing natural light into transitional spaces.

A skylight above the stair allows daylight to filter down through the void, brightening what would otherwise be a darker, enclosed area. It reduces the need for artificial lighting during the day while creating a softer, more inviting connection between levels.

Working within the existing roof space of a heritage item Class 2 building, this project transforms a constrained space into a functional master suite.

Within the tight footprint and low, slanted ceilings, we’ve incorporated a master bedroom, ensuite and walk-in robe, along with seamless access to a new rooftop balcony.

DA was approved last year, the interior design is now complete, and we’re finalising construction documentation in preparation for the build!

This backyard upgrade focused on enhancing the space while preserving the existing character of the terrace within the heritage conservation area.

Rather than introducing major structural changes, the design retained the original footprint, adding new glazed doors and using layered planting, to soften the boundaries and strengthen the connection between the house and garden.

A seamless joinery link between kitchen and living.

Rather than treating these as two seperate zones, we designed a continuous joinery element that transitions from kitchen storage into a built-in bench seat.

The bench becomes an extension of the kitchen. Additional seating, integrated storage, and a defined edge to the living space without introducing extra furniture.

For this Neutral Bay home, the palette, light, soft and cohesive, was intentionally selected to reinforce the home’s connection to its setting while creating a calming atmosphere.

Inspired by coastal tones and the lightness of the view beyond, the colour strategy links the spaces visually and emotionally, allowing one room to flow naturally to the next.
