Over the coming months, there’ll be a few opportunities to see my work in person, find a special piece to wear or bring something unique into your home.

I’ll be bringing my handprinted and one of a kind garments, accessories and homewares to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, with a few opportunities to shop, meet and connect along the way before finishing the year back home on Minjerribah.

From pop ups and a runway to the GOMA Design Market and an open studio here in Goompi, there’s a little something happening in different places over the next few months.

Studio visits are also available by appointment.

I’ll share more details about each event closer to the dates. If you’re looking for something special, or would simply like to see the pieces up close, I hope you can join me at one of these stops.

Looking back on another wonderful week travelling with the Avanti Destinations team through Dallas, Nashville and St Louis.

In my fourth year travelling across the US with Avanti, I feel like I’ve seen and experienced so much of this country. Each city brings new people, new conversations and, of course, the chance to experience some of the local food and sights along the way. From hot chicken in Nashville to Neiman Marcus popovers in Dallas, those local experiences have become such a special part of travelling between cities. A highlight seeing the artwork ‘Land is never a gateway’ of in St Lois.

This week I had the opportunity to share more about home, my artwork and how art, weaving and making can be a way for travellers to experience culture and better understand the place they are visiting, with travel advisors in each city.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us across Dallas, Nashville and St Louis, and to the Avanti team for another wonderful week on the road.

Now I’m in Portland for Avanti’s 45th anniversary celebrations, looking forward to the next part of the journey.

Today marks three weeks in the US, with a few more weeks still to go.

Following Indigenous NYFW I’ve had a little time to slow down and reflect.

Thank you to everyone who came to the runway and made that experience so special. Bringing my sons and the collection from Minjerribah to Lenape Hoking was something I’ll carry with me for a long time.

After the show, my sons returned home to the island and I travelled back to Connecticut to spend time with my cousins.

From there, to Charlottesville, Virginia, to visit Sonia Carmichael and see her exhibition at Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection.

And now I’m back on the road for my 4th year with Avanti Destinations meeting with travel advisors across Dallas, Nashville and St Louis to talk about weaving, art and stories, and how these can help people experience a deeper connection while they are visiting Australia.
