I took part in the Active August 2025 fundraiser, in Devonport Tasmania. The blessing I received was two fold because, I raised money to help others who were in need, while I was recovering from a sciatica injury and fully recovered by the end of this activity.
This year I hope to double my effort by walking and cycling further in September due to good health. Will you join me in the "virtual Race around Australia" to support Adra Australia to help Aussies in need ?

🏃 ADRA's Race Around Australia is a virtual event that takes place during the month of September. This event will kick off the ADRA Appeal and will raise funds to help Aussies in need.

Simply:
1. Register at race.adra.org.au
2. Choose your challenge – how far you will walk or run during September
3. Start fundraising to help Aussies in need!

Together, it is our aim to complete a lap of Australia. Join us this September!

DISASTER READY
EMERGENCY KIT AND FOOD SAFETY during Power Outages

This week our Adra Cooking and Food Literacy Learners are going to prepare food without cooking it and they must include food safety.
I have attached a link from the NSW Food Authority for guidelines.
I hope you enjoy learning with us. We would like it if you could send us a message or email of any suggestions you have for us. The Learners would be encouraged by this. Thank you
Heidi

We will be looking at Cooking without gas or electricity and what are the alternatives, storage long term, sustainability of having a garden, helping others in time of environmental or food shortage situations.
