Does anyone else use their Thermie to make their own spice blends? 🌿

I mill spices ALL the time, but yesterday I made a big batch of my own spice blend for corned beef — a dish my family absolutely loves.

Instead of making the spice mix from scratch every time, I made HEAPS, popped it into a jar and now it’s sitting in the pantry ready for the next few corned beef dinners. 🙌🏼

It’s one of those little Thermomix things I absolutely love. Buy your spices whole, mill exactly what you need, make your own blends and know exactly what’s gone into them.

Plus… opening that lid after milling fresh spices smells AMAZING. 😂

If there’s one bikkie recipe we come back to again and again, it’s the Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies on Cookidoo 🍪

They’re one of my absolute go-tos when I need something quick and easy for lunchboxes, parties, bake sales… or just because everyone wants something sweet!

And one of the things I love most? They’re SO easy to adapt for food allergies. I’ve made them with a straight swap to gluten-free self-raising flour, and you can easily use dairy-free/vegan choc chips too — perfect when you’re baking for a crowd and need to cater for different kiddos.

They make a great-sized batch, freeze beautifully and, most importantly, they’re seriously GOOD. There’s a reason they’re called Best Ever 😂

Hey friends! Can we talk about the one spot everyone forgets to clean? 👀

Your Thermie bowl might look perfectly clean… until you take the blades out 😅

That’s when you might discover little bits of mince, dough or sauce tucked away underneath your blade assembly. It’s completely normal, but it’s also why I never skip using this little green brush…

It fits ever so perfectly between the blades and around the blade assembly, making it MUCH easier to clean those hard-to-reach spots that a regular sponge just can’t get to.

💚 Why I love it:
✔️ Cleans between the blades with ease
✔️ Helps remove hidden food residue
✔️ Great for avoiding lingering flavours between recipes
✔️ Dishwasher safe
✔️ Works with every Thermomix model

It’s one of those inexpensive little accessories that makes a surprisingly big difference, and I honestly wouldn’t be without mine.

If you don’t have one yet, I’d definitely recommend adding one to your kitchen sink. You’ll seriously wonder how you managed without it!
