Tash reached out to Swan Valley Carpets AKA Jurien Bay Flooring because she was tired of her old ceramic tiles and wanted to modernise her home with some beautiful oak-look vinyl planks.
Tash already knew she wanted us to self-level over the existing tiles. She was adamant that she didn’t want to go through the mess and disruption of demolition, with days of jackhammering and concrete grinding to remove the existing tiles.
Fortunately for Tash, self-levelling isn’t just one of the many aspects of our flooring services — it’s something we genuinely love doing.
Over the years, we’ve invested in some serious equipment to make sure we can deliver the best possible results. Our German-made Putzmeister screed mixing pump provides an extremely consistent mix and flow rate, which helps us achieve that impeccable finish — obviously with a little bit of know-how thrown in as well! 😊
Our Putzmeister mixer/pump is a powerful 3-phase unit, so we’ve also invested in a 22kVA diesel generator to power this beast!
The entire mixing process takes place outside on the back of our 6m tray truck. From there, the self-levelling compound is pumped through a high-pressure hose into the home, where our installer takes over and steals all the glory! 😎
Operating from the truck also means we can keep the majority of the messy and dusty work outside, rather than bringing it into your home.
Your vinyl plank flooring is only ever as good as the preparation underneath it!
This is something we strongly believe in, and it’s one of the reasons we place so much emphasis on getting the subfloor preparation right before laying the finished flooring.
Anyway, enough of that waffle — back to Tash!
Tash chose a stunning 4.5mm Oak Vinyl Plank from Swan Valley Carpets’ Guildford Collection, in the colour Sandalford.
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, but in short — another top-notch installation and, most importantly, another very happy client!
I’ll also add that it’s always a pleasure working for nice people, and this job certainly falls into that category. To be honest, that seems to be the case almost all the time up here in God’s Country!
Over and out,
AJ
