Some artworks hold a special place for me, and this piece has been floating round in my head for quite a while.
My mermaids all have a different personality, some aloof, some mischievous, but this one holds a softness and intensity in her stare that is hard to ignore.

I have such a soft spot for Mermaids 🧜‍♀️ I can really lean into the whimsy!

All my sirens have a signature animal in the frame with them, Sea Dragons, tropical fish, Turtles and then for my slightly more wicked ones Ive had Bluebottle Jellyfish and now an octopus.

Im so excited with how this is coming together and I gave myself the challenge of completing it in my 'Spindrift' Series colour scheme!
