🌸 WE DID IT- EXTENSION SECURED! 🌸

Great news for flower growers, florists and wholesalers 🌼

Due to the high volume of Tomato Potato Psyllid (TPP) accreditations currently being processed by Agriculture Victoria, Queensland has agreed to extend the grace period until 11:59pm on 22 December 2025.

✨ This means trade into Queensland can continue while businesses complete their accreditation.

Businesses that already hold accreditation should send consignments with a valid Plant Health Assurance Certificate (PHAC). Biosecurity Queensland will continue compliance monitoring for produce entering from Victoria.

This extension gives industry the time it needs to get accredited properly without disrupting Christmas trade. πŸ™Œ

We’ll continue to share updates and guidance as things progress.

Important update for Victorian flower growers

🌼 GREAT NEWS 🌼 We’re thrilled to share a major update from Queensland and Tasmania today!

🌟 Trade can continue!
Queensland has agreed to allow Victorian cut flowers to enter the state until midnight on 12 December without accreditation. Trade can continue into Tasmania for the next two weeks.

🌟 New pathways approved!
Two non-destructive accreditation options are available to apply for now, allowing Victorian businesses to keep supplying Queensland safely from 12 December:

PS 60 β€” inspection + secure packaging or
PS 66 β€” property freedom from Tomato Potato Psyllid (TPP)

Tasmania are currently considering these pathways.

🌟 This is a big win for growers, wholesalers, florists & consumers.
No methyl bromide.
No irradiation.
Just practical certification that keeps flowers moving.

πŸ“© Growers: You can apply NOW for PS 60 or PS 66 through Agriculture Victoria.
Please view our website for more details: https://www.flowerindustryaustralia.com.au/

Thank you to everyone who has supported this work over the last week. Industry voices made this happen.

We’ll keep you updated as the final documents are released.

Important update for Victorian flower growers
There have been important changes to the Tomato Potato Psyllid (TPP) requirements for cut flowers.

Queensland will continue accepting Victorian flowers until midnight Friday 12 December with no accreditation. From 12 December, growers and wholesalers will need accreditation to keep trading.

You can apply for:
- PS60 Inspection and secure packaging
- PS66 Property freedom
PS60 is the simpler option to get started.

How to get accredited
- Complete the Application for Accreditation form and the Authorised Signatory form
- After processing, you will receive links to the required eLearning modules
- Complete the modules and assessments to receive your Certificate of Accreditation
Growers are encouraged to apply immediately due to high application volumes.

Tasmania has a two-week transition period where flowers can still enter. PS60 and PS66 have not yet been formally accepted. If you supply both states, apply for both accreditations while we await further updates.
