Lest We Forget
ANZAC Day 2026
Empire Bay Service

Today we had the privilege of attending the ANZAC Day Service at Empire Bay, proudly presented by the Empire Bay Progress Association.

It was a truly moving morning, with such a strong turnout from the local community and beyond — a wonderful reminder of the spirit, respect, and unity that ANZAC Day represents.

We were honoured to hear heartfelt speeches from State Member for Terrigal Adam Crouch MP and Dr Gordon Reid MP, both sharing meaningful reflections that resonated with everyone in attendance.

The service concluded beautifully with a powerful rendition of I Am Australian performed by local artists Christie Chen, followed by a classic community favourite — a sausage sizzle hosted by the Empire Bay Fishing Club.

A big thank you to everyone involved in organising such a special event and to all who came together to remember and honour our ANZACs. 🌺

Popped down to Copacabana Beach today to soak up the sun and appreciate the good weather on the Coast 🌊☀️

Ended up crossing paths with a couple visiting from the US who were out exploring the coastline. Started off as a casual chat about the local area… then somehow turned into a full-on conversation about home renovations.

She was really interested in S-fold drapes and plantation shutters, while he (pretty sure he had an English accent) was laser-focused on floating floors — asking detailed questions about the whole install process like he was gearing up to install a floor himself.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he gives it a crack when he’s back home in a week or so.

After all that, they asked to grab a photo in front of the My Timber Flooring Blinds & Shutters ute — said they wanted something to remember their quick stop over on the Central Coast

When Style Meets Function in a Terrigal Designer Home 🏡

One of our recent projects in Terrigal on the Central Coast was a great example of how the right flooring solution can completely transform a home.

The client wanted to remove the bedroom carpet and replace it with Blackbutt timber flooring to match the stunning select grade wide Blackbutt floors already installed through the living areas.

But there was one challenge…

This beautiful home is built across multiple levels, and each level has very different environmental conditions. That meant one flooring product wouldn’t perform well across the entire home.

So we designed a smart multi-flooring solution that maintained the same coastal style throughout the property.

✔ Lower & middle level bedrooms
We installed 189mm wide Blackbutt engineered timber flooring from the Fiddleback Series, creating a seamless transition from the original timber floors into the bedrooms.

✔ Loft bedroom
Because heat rises through the home, the loft area experiences higher temperatures. For this space we installed LuxFlor Blackbutt laminate flooring, designed for stability and durability.

✔ Matching staircase system
To complete the look, we installed a matching laminate staircase system. The client plans to paint the risers white to match the other staircases in the home, which will beautifully highlight the Blackbutt flooring.

By combining engineered timber flooring and laminate flooring, we were able to achieve the perfect balance of design, durability and practicality.

The result?
A stunning modern coastal flooring flow throughout this Terrigal designer home.

Well… that was unexpected!

Ed Sheeran has been spotted around the Central Coast this weekend, and apparently our showroom was on his must-visit list.

Ed dropped in and asked if he could use our sign for a quick photo shoot for his next album cover. We didn’t want to get in the way of musical history, so we let him have his moment.

I’m just waiting for the ink to dry on the contract before I officially approve the album cover shot. 🎸
