Thanks to everyone who has been collecting terracotta pots for the Terra Preta soil that I am making for the Esperance Community Garden. We have got several pots from the tip shop, and other donations around town. This man made superior soil, found in the Amazon, has been studied and consists of broken terracotta, biochar- available in local charred woodchips, clay, sand and compost. It's rewarding to know that the Terra Preta soil we apply to our gardens will still be present and doing good in 2000 years time, just as the Amazonian Terra Preta is, leaving our planet a better place. Bags of locally made garden soil or Terra Preta are for sale, with funds to Esp. Community Garden.
Text Jen 0458 432 528 for a load of garden soil.
