Cass and Kaz.
This needed space on my feed. I had a beautiful visit yesterday morning that was 25 years + overdue. A childhood neighbour, sister and friend, lost to time but not love. We sat for hours reconnecting, sharing what feels like a lifetime missed, yet strangely my mind took me straight back to Mortlake in Sydney, roller-skates, kitkats and Devon sandwiches. How am I 7 again!
What I gained from this gift of a visit.
God is in the details of our lives and loves us so much. So much so that He offers fields of flowers with friends to heal hearts. And yes I am crying again Three Cords Therapy 🌼 Cass Mcilrick. Love you my friend.
And if you’re wondering about the soundtrack, that my flower friends was the song Cass and I used to audition for ‘Have a Go’ with Jono and Dano…. when we were kids. How our mums encouraged our untapped creativity and confidence is impressive and evident today in our chosen careers. Both running our own successful businesses doing what we love in small (and big) towns, choosing faith to guide our paths.
And thank you for asking, we unfortunately didn’t make it through but I still remember receiving a letter in the mail telling us we were ‘too good’ for the show…. hilarious but yep believable!
