The Fitzroy Etching Presses 400 Press is one of our most popular etching presses for those working in small spaces or as a first press. Made locally, by Fitzroy Etching Presses, these are built to order in with a turnaround time of approximately 6-8 weeks.

The 400 press features 75mm diameter rollers, Japanese roller bearings, laser cut sides and brass safety stops. The price for this press includes a solid steel bed, 650mm hand wheel and safety strap. This is designed to be used on a bench or table top, but can alternatively be mounted on a stand to be purchased separately, with the option of lockable castors for easy movement. The 400 is also an excellent choice for people who need a portable press for workshops and residencies, as when the bed has been removed the press can be easily lifted by two people.

Kamito Paper Threads are made of traditional Japanese washi papers, made but cutting the paper into thin pieces which are then twisted into thread. The paper thread is naturally dyed with plant or vegetable dyes.

These threads have been made by artisans as far back as the 17th century and are lightweight strong material ideal for bookbinding and craft applications. Can be waxed as you would a linen thread.

Available in 6 colour options, each dyed with the below listed plants

White – Undyed
Yellow – Amur Cork Tree
Green – Amur Cork Tree and Indigo
Blue – Indigo
Purple – Logwood
Red – Rubia Argyi

*Due to the nature of the dying process the colour will vary slightly from thread to thread and may slightly differ from spool to spool.

Featuring a flat-lay design, the HWAHONG Soft Robber Roller, pictured here in it's largest 300mm size, can be turned over when wet/inky with the flat back acting as a stand. The design of the flat back bar also allows the roller to be hung on a pegboard, or similar, for a tidy and clean workspace.

The classic two-hole sharpener from Staedtler. Featuring two sized holes to accommodate most pencils.

The small hole is for standard-sized blacklead pencils up to 8.2 mm Ø with a sharpening angle of 23° for clear and accurate lines

The larger hole is for thick blacklead and coloured pencils up to 10.2 mm Ø with a sharpening angle of 30° for broad, soft lines.
