Happy Sunday Friends Thank you to all of you who visited yesterday to my first ever garage sale. In true Vide Le Grenier style, I cleared the attics to bring out some treasures I've owned for over 30 years! It was great to catch up with you all and thank you very much. I've decided to do a shorter day today 11-3 pm at Factories 4 and 5. 12 Wise Avenue, Seaford. Last night we were able to bring more stocks in and have a quite a few breadboards, beds and artworks added to the sale. Come grab a bargain. Happy weekend.!

Happy Friday Friends! Yes it's on! Not sure about this weather but we are going full steam ahead with my first ever Huge Garage Sale. Lots still to do but it's looking fabulous! I knew I was very ambitious to think id be able to sort and make everything wonderful in a week. But unfortunately not. My inaugural Garage Sale will be held next weekend. Up for Grabs is our much adored Antique Baltic Pine Counter. It's unfitted on the inside - and so many times I've said no to selling it. This European Pine example would be near impossible to find anything like in Australia. I always thought it could be the most spectacular Kitchen Island bench fitted with fine cabinet joinery and even a microwave and dishwasher. In a big open plan minimal family room this would be loved. I've discounted this to less than half of its cost - it's part of the sale to be held in lovely Bayside Seaford at 12 WISE AVE in Factory 4 and Factory 5. From 11am - 5 pm for two weekends starting the 2nd of August. I will come back to everyone who've requested private VIP viewings Thursday and Friday and mornings on the weekend. Hope you will make the short commute and come grab a bargain and let's talk your favourite treasure ! Hey everyone, we’ve got something to share. After much deliberation Scout House will be closing its shopfront around the end of January or Early February.
If you haven't visited in a while, this is the perfect opportunity. We will be clearing all floor stock plus a very amazing selection of one offs, samples , collected special pieces , textiles, rugs, home fragrances and books at hugely discounted prices. Snag yourself a bargain and fill those Santa-Sacks with treasures.
But don’t worry, we’ll still be operating online! After 14 amazing years, it’s time for us to say goodbye to our physical. store. The retail world and St Kilda have changed so much, the pandemic, local council support, car parking, supply chain and finding a great team have created so many challenges.We’re incredibly grateful for the love and support from our customers. Although this was a tough decision, it is the right move for us.
Since 2009, we have proudly contributed to the Bayside community by providing a unique, eclectic mix of products you can’t find elsewhere. However, despite our efforts, we faced many challenges common to small businesses in today’s retail environment, and our growth crazy quick and unsustainable.
I feel so sad about this decision, it wasn’t made lightly. Things have changed so much now. We can no longer compete with the huge faceless global chains. Many of the brands we have showcased through the years have lost the spark that made them so special.

Our manufacturing division, which includes beds, furniture, and custom-made items, will operate at full capacity in the new year. We plan to invest in these product lines, allowing us to improve our offerings and reduce lead times.
