This is not a cute cupcakes recipe! This is not the visually aesthetic icing of delightful cakes. No! This is me failing at basic colour theory and whilst I have said frog bums WAY more than any grown adult should, these are really yum and I thought you may be in need of a mid week giggle and lunchbox idea!
I just KNOW that my two kids have shared with the entire school that their lovingly home made baked good looks like an amphibian derriere
And Hey, maybe its just the cute lil halloween treat you wanted to make this year too, your welcome!
Here is your recipe!
1 packet aldi vanilla cake mix
2 eggs
⅔ cup milk
60g softened butter
1 ½ cups icing sugar
100 g white chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
1-2 tsp milk
¼ tsp yellow & blue
Preheat oven to 180℃
Mix together the cake mix, eggs, milk and butter until light & fluffy (around 5 mins with an electric be**er or stand mixer)
Divide mixture between cupcake pans, doughnut trays or just make one giant cake.
Cook in the oven for around 20 mins (this will depend on what shape you go for, my doughnuts took about 20 mins)
Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
To make the icing, add the icing sugar, white chocolate, vanilla and food colouring to a double boiler and stir to combine. You want a thick icing so you may need to adjust the icing sugar, milk ratios here.
Divide icing between your doughnuts and smash one before the kids realise you have baked!
Let me know in the comments below if you make these or, if you see a frogs bum in mine!
