Hand Dyed, Handspun 🧵 | Mary Hayward on Dohne Merino

I chatted all about this spin in last week’s episode of the FleeceFolk Diary. This is some hand dyed Dohne merino I dyed inspired by Mary’s costumes in The Other Bennet Sister ♥️

Singles spun on my Ashford Traditional and plied on the Twisted Sheep e-spinner.

309m to 95g of Dohne merino grown in NSW and milled in Victoria 🇦🇺

All about this spin and other hand dyed adventures on this week’s FleeceFolk Diary entry (link in bio).

I don’t often romanticise cops but I can picture building a wee house in the middle of this cop against the moody blue skies and the rust cliff face - spinning flock 🐑 has plenty of green to graze on too of course. Have I lost the plot? Maybe!
