I just love a before and after 😍🌟
This client in Gawler was living in a house built in the 80s, and untouched since.
The details in the structure are amazing; the ceiling roses, the fireplace, but it was concealed by the original layer of pink! The walls, the ceiling, it was all the same pink. Matched with the original carpet, this wonderful client wanted a design that would make this room feel clean and updated.
These dark timber floors accentuate the existing timber, making them look brighter; and the walls being neutral and bright means that everything else in the room shines! Adding in new sofas and her amazing green thumb (I'm jealous!) has meant this room invites you in with warmth and love.

Our last step for this room is lighting and window furnishings, and she has already started talking about the next room!

As the year draws to a close, it marks 10 years that I've been in the industry! 10 years ago I completed my Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration. It feels surreal to even type!
I started working in the industry right away, getting casual/part time work with 2 designers I had contacted while I was studying, and I am beyond grateful for that. When I moved from Melbourne to Adelaide, I found my niche in joinery. From Bunnings kitchens to million dollar builds and everything in-between, I've had an amazing journey over the last 8 years working at a few different cabinetry companies across Adelaide, meeting some amazing people and learning more than I could have imagined.
5 years ago I started Burwood Design, and while it's not my primary work, I've had some incredible clients and I've been able to learn so much through working for myself.
My last 18 months at Winterfield Cabinets have been a real highlight, I've worked with multiple couples who have lived in their home for over 20 years, watched the kids grow up and are now updating their home to watch the next generation grow.

My 10 years in the design & building industry have been more than I could've asked for, and I can't wait to see what the next 10 years bring.

Seeing this kitchen renovation come together was truly a joy. These clients were renovating their family home, after living in it to raise the kids, they've given it new life as the family grows to another generation.

What better way to utilize a 4m high ceiling in an A frame than an amazing reading nook/bookshelf!
A recent render for a client wanting to visualize their design and selected colours! It was excellent to be able to design in this unique space, and can't wait to see it finished!

A dream library 😍 specifically, every nerds dream!

With floating shelves made for displaying this awesome Lego, and enough shelving to sort by genre, or alphabetically, or both! These clients wanted their ceiling and walls to be dark to bring that cosy feeling and really bring out the art that's going on the walls. This space is one you want to stay in!
These amazing clients are so happy with how this room has turned out, and I couldn't be happier to have been part of it!
