There was a time in my life when I worked night shifts in ICU.

Where machines hummed.
Where hands were held tightly.
Where fresh flowers weren’t allowed.

No pollen. No perfume. No petals on the bedside table.

And I remember thinking…
how strange it was that in the moments people needed beauty most — it wasn’t allowed in the room.

My patients couldn’t hold bouquets anyway.
Tethered to lines and monitors, their world was reduced to white walls and beeping sounds.

So I began imagining something different.

Flowers that didn’t wilt.
Flowers that didn’t shed.
Flowers that could sit quietly beside someone and stay.

Merino wool felt became my answer.
Soft. Gentle. Lasting.

What began as a solution to a nurse’s flower problem became something much bigger.

When illness unexpectedly ended my nursing career, I found myself asking who I was without it.
And in that space — All Felt Blooms was born.

These flowers are not just décor.

When I realised the flowers were for a friend in hospital, doing it really tough, that familiar feeling rose — this is why All Felt Blooms exists.
