Tonight we made the decision to have dinner at Zanzibar Bali instead of Chez Gado Gado Restaurant. It’s a decision that has left us feeling incredibly grateful, because we were only just down the road when we saw the flames.

The night could have been so very different had we gone to Chez Gado Gado.

It is heartbreaking to think that this iconic restaurant is no more. 💔 The speed and devastation of the fire was truly horrific.

Over so many years, Chez Gado Gado has been a favourite of ours — a place where we enjoyed beautiful food, wonderful company, magical sunsets and so many special moments. It was more than just a restaurant; it was part of our Bali memories.

Tonight, seeing it go up in flames was incredibly upsetting. To know that a place filled with so many memories for so many people is gone is just heartbreaking.

Thank you, Chez Gado Gado, for the years of beautiful memories, incredible meals and unforgettable sunsets.

You will be missed. ♥️💔♥️

🌱 Today’s lunch was an absolute winner! 💚

I finally tried the Soyco Australia Breakfast Scramble Tofu, served with crispy sourdough toast and a generous spread ofNuttelexx Buttery… and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! 😍

The scramble was full of flavour, satisfying, and so quick to prepare. It’s a fantastic high-protein, plant-based option that really hit the spot. Paired with toast, it made for a delicious and filling lunch.

As I’m exploring more whole food, plant-based meals, it’s great to find products that are both convenient and genuinely tasty. This one will definitely be making another appearance in my kitchen! 🌿Soyco is now my front runner for Tofu. Need to try their other products. Amazing. 🤩

Today’s wonderful day at at Royal Exhibition Building. Melbourne turned on the weather with a glorious day. Honestly, this government the a run for its money.

The stall variety, the stall holders were amazing. Shout to for having the best vegan chocolate I have ever tasted, and the guy that helped me. Incredible. for the tastiest vegan pie ever. Everyone loved it. 🥰 The ladies at - you made ME buy red wine 🍷 and that’s a first! Oh and the popcorn 🍿 🤩

After the guys went and got the car, yes we needed a collection with buying so much, dinner at The Royal Standard Hotel 🏨 perfect way to end the day.

Next time we make it and we will, we are going to add some potato or Risoni for more body. This is a great side dish. This is why we added tofu. Totally worth it and highly recommended

So… today’s latest purchase arrived. 😄 A machine.

Yes, I know… I already have a Thermomix! 😂 And before anyone says, “You can make almond milk in that,” I know you can. The actual making part is easy. It’s the straining, squeezing, and cleaning up afterwards that’s a real pain!

Well… I am officially impressed by Mylky.

I added the ingredients, pressed the button, and just 2 minutes later I had 1.2 litres of fresh, strained almond milk. 🤯

The recipe they use is completely different to the one on Cookidoo, and the flavour is incredible. It tastes so much fresher and creamier than I expected.

I honestly think this is one purchase I won’t regret. If you make plant-based milk regularly, I can already tell you… it’s absolutely worth it! 🥛💚

Tonight’s dinner was cooked by Chris – a veggie stir-fry with Sesame Soy & Ginger Tofu. 🥦🥕🥢

I’ll admit… I was very skeptical. 🫤 Tofu has never really been my thing.

But wow… I was completely wrong! It was absolutely delicious. The tofu was packed with flavour, had a great texture, and honestly, if you hadn’t told me it was tofu, I probably wouldn’t have guessed. Once again thank you to for going above and beyond for my food “trials”!

Even Max approved… and that’s saying something! 🐈‍⬛ 😂

If you’ve been hesitant to try tofu, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a go. It’s a great high-protein, meat-free option that actually tastes amazing.

A huge thank you to for going shopping and finding these absolutely delicious V2 Plant Protein Burgers for me! 💚🌱

Tonight, Chris .theday worked his magic in the kitchen yet again, serving them with a plate full of fresh veggies, mushrooms and crispy potato gems. It was packed with flavour, incredibly satisfying, and proof that plant-based meals don’t have to be boring!

As someone who’s recently transitioned to a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle, discovering products like these makes the journey so much easier.

⭐ V2 Plant Protein Burgers – highly recommended! They have a great texture, are high in protein and iron, and definitely earned a spot on our shopping list.

Tonight’s dinner was this incredible vegan mushroom lasagna, made by my beautiful friend 💚

It was her very first time making a vegan lasagna and, honestly, you would never have known. It was rich, full of flavour and absolutely delicious. These were leftovers from a family dinner they hosted over the weekend (that we went to), but despite everything she had on her plate preparing for that, she still went the extra mile to make sure I had something delicious to eat. That simple act of kindness meant so much to me. Thank you, Sue. 🥰

Today we celebrated our precious granddaughter Ivy’s 4th birthday, and my heart is so full. 💕

It feels like only yesterday I was cuddling this beautiful little bundle of joy, and now here she is—full of personality, imagination and the biggest smile that lights up every room.

She had the most magical day surrounded by family and so many wonderful friends. There were plenty of outfit changes too, from Paw Patrol adventurer to the most beautiful fairy princess. 👑✨ She loved every single minute of it, and seeing the excitement on her face made every moment so special.

Her birthday cake by was everything she’d asked for—chocolate and Biscoff, decorated with rainbow, flowers and dinosaurs. 🦖🌈 It was absolutely perfect for our little birthday girl.

Happy 4th Birthday, our beautiful Ivy. 💖🎂
